This award is in recognition of meritorious service to the University of Kentucky Association of Emeriti Faculty.
A nomination can be made by any active member of UKAEF. An official nomination is a written narrative statement that addresses the criteria for the award, identifies the nominee, and provides details regarding the nominee’s service to the Association. The nomination can be sent to any current Executive Committee member. The annual deadline is May 15th. The recipient of the recognition award will be determined at the June Executive Committee meeting. Announcement of the name of the recipient of the recognition award will be during the business meeting at the September luncheon meeting. While nominations can be made annually by the May 15th deadline, the award is not necessarily an annual event. The Executive Committee will determine frequency of the award.
Criteria for the Jean Pival UK Association of Emeriti Faculty Distinguished Service Award are that the individual must:
- Be a past or present member of UKAEF
- Have provided exceptional service to UKAEF
